I attended the Bay Harbor Yacht Club Commissioning party on May 23 2009 . It was the grand opening of the new Lange Center. The Lange Center was built attached to the main yacht club to create a venue for weddings and conferences. It is a gorgeous and well built. The center was constructed in a short 8 months thru a very hard winter.
The party was attended by over 300 members. I sat with some long time members that I had just met. The conversation was delightful. There was a dance band following dinner. The room was so large with so many people I did not get a chance to say hello to all my friends. I apologize.
I later danced with a member who thought he was dancing with the stars. He attempted to lift me over his shoulder. He did not tell me what he was doing, I ended up resisting his attempt and I ended up spread eagle on top of him. VERY EMBARRASSING.
All in all it was a good time had by most. . . Can't wait till the next party.
